Local Happenings of Note in February
There are many events happening throughout the area, we are hoping you will do your own exploring and research to find what is best for you and your schedule.
Here are a few events of note:
February 1st | The Special Olympics Delaware Polar Plunge; Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk; is the signature winter event where thousands of "Bears" plunge into the Atlantic Ocean to support athletes with intellectual disabilities. The event features a festival atmosphere with a 5K and sandcastle contest. Price: Free to watch; fundraising minimum to plunge.
February 6th | Jamaican Me Famous Karaoke Round 3; Seacrets, 117 49th St, Ocean City; continues at the area’s most famous tropical-themed venue. Local and visiting vocalists compete for cash prizes and a spot in the seasonal finals. Price: No cover charge for participants before 9 PM.
February 7th | 3rd Annual Hot Chocolate Fest; 10AM – 3PM; Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes; biggest and best hot chocolate festival yet!!! Grab a hot cup of hot chocolate for $5, includes unlimited toppings at our three big hot chocolate bars!! Over 90 local vendors to do some great pre-spring shopping!!! Marshmallow hunt for a $100 shopping spree!!! Petting zoo, weather permitting!! Photo ops!! Come and enjoy the warm and cozy fun!!Door prizes every 15 minutes!!! Event by Saltwater Roots Boutique.
February 7th – 8th | The Reach the Beach All-Star Grand Nationals; Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City; Thousands of cheerleaders and dancers come to the coast for a high-energy national competition. This is one of the largest indoor sporting events held in Ocean City during the winter. Ticketed for spectators (varies by day).
February 13th - 15th | The Ocean City RV & Van Show; Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City; This event features the latest in motorhomes, travel trailers, and van conversions. Experts are on-site to discuss travel trends and outdoor lifestyle equipment for the upcoming season. $10 per person.
February 14th | Rehoboth-Dewey Chamber Merchants' Attic Indoor Garage Sale; Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes; 10AM – 3PM; Plan to shop at the State's Largest Indoor Garage Sale! Vendors will be selling their wares including excess business inventory, antiques, collectibles, and second hand household items. Refreshments will also be sold. There is no admission fee; however donations for the benefit of the Chamber Event Fund are welcome.
February 14th | The Seaside Bridal Show; Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Hwy, Ocean CityA one-stop-shop for couples planning their coastal weddings, featuring local photographers, caterers, florists, and venues. The event includes a fashion show and door prizes. $10 at the door.
February 20th – 22nd | The 43rd Annual Seaside Boat Show; Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City; This event is known as "The Boat Show that a Church Built," features over 350 boats from 50+ dealers. It includes electronics, engines, and nautical accessories with proceeds benefiting local youth programs. Price: $10 for adults; $1 for children.
February 27th – March 1st | The Ocean City Home, Condo, and Outdoor Show; Roland E. Powell Convention Center, 4001 Coastal Hwy, Ocean City; provides inspiration for spring renovations. Vendors offer everything from landscaping and roofing to interior design and smart home technology. $7 for adults; Free for children under 13.
Coming in March
March 5th - 8th | 10thAnnual Ocean City Film Festival; Various venues throughout Ocean City; Showcases new films by regional and international filmmakers of every background and genre. Screenings will be held at venues across Ocean City, alongside filmmaker Q&As, special events, and opening and closing parties throughout the festival. Pricing varies.

Bethany Bandstand Events - Bandstand performances continue through September and October on Friday and Saturday nights.
