This Real Estate professional was excellent. She took the time to hear what we were looking for and delivered. Our story began with just going to Delaware to look at areas and houses to get a sense of what we may want as a vacation home: cost, neighborhood, distance to the beach, etc. 2 weekends of tying Terry, (yes her first name, since she made us feel like friends) up and her providing us with options we were sold on a home. She even changed her plans (her birthday) and made herself available to us since we couldn't change ours to see homes, builders style etc.. We have never been happier on so many levels. Sherry was both extremely professional and extremely friendly throughout the entire buying process. I was in Ocean City for one week and hoping to get as much done as possible. Before I arrived, we spoke on the phone about what I was looking for in a condo, and she prepared a book of listings for us to tour. During the tours, she showed a thorough knowledge about the neighborhoods, condo associations, and even general ideas about how much repairs or renovations would cost. She was patient when I asked to see some properties multiple times, and never made me feel rushed. She also gave me copies of a sales contract and addenda to review before we made any offers. When we did make an offer, she had reviewed the comparable sales and suggested a price so far below the list that I didn't expect it to be accepted, but it was, another example of her expertise of the market. The day we wrote the contract she went through it with me section by section to make sure I fully understood everything. She was also able to set up an inspection within the same week that I was in town, and then she kept in touch between then and closing. She got back to me quickly any time I had a question, and the Oldfather Group also sent me e-mail updates that included information that I had yet to ask, like how to set up the utilities. Overall, the process was much faster and smoother that I hoped possible, and I recommend Sherry and the Oldfather Group with no hesitation.

Sherry as well as her team are very professional and go way beyond what you may expect from any other realtor. Sherry was very patient even though we had everything that could go wrong actually go wrong. Sherry took the time to personally handle these bumps and went out of her way to get them corrected. We spent two years with Sherry and she always made time for us as we lived 3 hours away and could only come down every few weeks. Sherry is very responsive and when you are dealing with her you feel like you are her only client as she keeps very well informed. We will definitely be using Sherry again for our future purchase of our beach home.

Sherry is the BEST! As soon as we inquired about property in Ocean City, Maryland, The Oldfather Group connected us with Sherry, an Ocean City expert. She knows every inch of Ocean City and was able to advise us on exactly what we could afford to stay in budget. Sherry is a math whiz who could calculate IN HER HEAD, ON THE SPOT, what rentals would offset the actual price of the property-- plus taxes, fees, and insurance--so that we could figure out how much time we'd get to spend in the condo ourselves and still afford it, as we wanted to make an all-cash offer and avoid a mortgage. (She explained that, at what we thought our original budget was, the condo would have to stay rented ALL YEAR to "pay for itself," and we wouldn't be able to use it ourselves AT ALL!) After Sherry's "number crunching," we realized that we had to consider fairly significantly less-expensive properties to meet all our goals. A smaller budget did not faze Sherry in the least. She immediately adjusted her search based on our more realistic budget and helped us find the PERFECT Ocean City condo that is conveniently in walking distance to both the boardwalk/ocean AND the bay (at the Chicago Avenue free fishing area). Sherry recommended an excellent rental agent who will make sure that the condo rents out enough to pay for itself, plus some profit, while still giving us some time in it. In fact, we happily spent the last 2 weekends in the condo. (Sherry cleverly suggested we schedule the closing on the condo for a Friday so that we would already be able to spend that weekend there.) We closed on the condo less than 4 weeks after first looking at Ocean City properties with Sherry. She seamlessly handled EVERYTHING from beginning to end, efficiently and professionally, yet with such personable and consistent availability that we felt like VIP clients!
